basic hypnotic induction

Wednesday, January 14, 2009

hey again! today I decided to write a short post on a favourite hypnotic induction that I like to use, particularly on new subjects. its called the fingers induction. Basically you use eye fixation, conscious redirection and a deepener.

First you get your subject to sit comfortably, making small adjustments to their sitting position, getting them to follow your your instructions early on.

Next ask them to focus on a spot below your eye and resist blinking as much as they can. (point below your right eye when you say this)

tell them to breath in, and out 3 times, relaxing more deeply with each breath.

then tell them that in a moment you are going to pass your fingers down the length of their face and they will feel their eyes becoming extremely heavy and will start to blink and flutter wanting to close more and more.

then raise your hand and pass your fingers down infront of them. surely enough their eyes will begin closing, if not then keep suggesting eye closure and so on.

As their eyes are about to close say 'allow your eyes to close and take you deeply into a wonderful state of hypnosis. just sleep now.... SLEEEEP and go deeper...'

Immediately go into a deepening technique. (view earlier post)

Use a few tests to establish how deep the subject is and continue with your session...

This is just a simple technique for a beginner... There are far more complex techniques but this is the best simple technique i have found and is extremely powerful.

Let me know what you think and if you use a similar technique or found a change that works better let me know...

Regards
Adrian
